Long hair is the dream of every woman, but nowadays it is quite difficult to become their owner. It is affected by many factors, such as improper care, water quality, bad ecology, hair dyes, thermal treatments (blow drying or straightening). This all prevents hair from growing as it should.

Despite this, women have found a way out of the situation and this way is hair extensions.

Hair extensions … what is it? You may ask.

Hair extensions are a procedure where strands of hair are attached to the original hair.

Where do you think hair extensions were first invented?

Well, it turns out that this know-how was invented in Africa.

Why in Africa, you may ask?

Because the inhabitants of the black continent from birth are very curly, stiff hair, and therefore they are rarely long, and of course women do not like this hair. So they solved this problem with hair extensions.

African women braided their curls into pigtails and sewed on straight, shiny donor hair or whatever most resembled hair, and the ideal of beauty was straight, straight, shiny hair. Of course the technology that was used is different from today, but it’s still used today.

So what are the technologies of today?

There are many techniques today, but there are only three main ones.

The most popular is the classic Italian technology (capsule).

It is the most reliable and widespread technology. To extend the hair strand is used on a keratin capsule. Reliability is achieved through the use of keratin.

Keratin is the main “building material” of the hair. Hair consists of 3% water and 97% keratin, a special protein substance.

The strand is heated with special tongs, and the capsule is fixed on the hair a centimeter from the root with the help of tongs for shaping.

For fine hair 80 strands

Medium thickness 120-150 strands

Thick hair 150-200 strands

The second is ribbon extensions.

This is the only system that allows a complete increase in
volume in just 20-30 minutes, without the need to use any
special equipment.

Imagine a narrow strip of patch, 3 cm long.

On one side is the hair on a transparent silicone band, and on the other is an adhesive layer with a protective film.

Two tapes are used for extensions. In the pre-root zone, a 3 cm wide strand of hair is separated and tapes are attached on both sides of it.

For one extension, 60-80 tapes are needed.

The third is Miracle Strands or strands on pins

Miracle – strands, strands on clips, hair on clips,
are all different names for the same method of extensions – a set of strands of natural hair on hairpins. This is a real alternative to hair extensions!

Unlike hair extensions, you don’t have to wear the strands all the time, you use them whenever you want. Thus, the load on your hair is practically eliminated.

Make a parting in the area where the strand is attached.

Comb the hair at the location of the hairpins. Fix the frizz areas with hairspray. Prepare a strand of hair that is the right size. Secure the strand with hairpins.

One set of six strands is required for one extension.
